Public Diving

Public Diving

These open public diving sessions provide the perfect opportunity to give diving a try.  The 1m and 3m boards will be open for your use and will be supervised by our Lifeguard team.

Please see the aquatics timetable for details of current Public Diving sessions

Aquatics Members can access these sessions free of charge, and non-members can access the sessions on payment of the pay as you play swimming charge.

As diving activities take place in deep water, these sessions are only suitable for participants 8 years and over, who are competent swimmers.  (Competent swimmers are defined as swimmers who are able to swim unaided for at least 25 metres and can tread water for 30 seconds).  Lifeguards have the authority to assess competency at any time.

Supervised Diving

These sessions will provide a pathway of progression for those participants who wish to learn how to develop their diving skills further to potentially dive from the higher boards, and is ideal for those who have either completed the ASV Learn to Dive programme, but also for ex-divers, or for young people who have moved or come from the Performance pathway.

Qualified and experienced coaches will be on hand to ensure a safe diving environment for all.
