Aberdeen Sports Village Junior Lifesaving Club is designed for children aged 8 years and over , teenagers and young adults. In partnership with the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) the club provides a fun and educational environment. Participants must have passed swim skills 3 or equivalent as a minimum entry to the programme.
The RLSS UK Rookie Lifeguard programme (8 – 12 year olds) is a popular, and exciting junior award scheme with this often being the first opportunity to explore water safety and learn valuable life skills. The skills that are learnt make Rookies aware of how to take care of themselves, their family and friends and give them information they may require to promote water safety in their day-to-day activities.
The awards include survival, rescue and sports skills as well as life support and water safety elements which are delivered in an enjoyable environment and make a great addition to swimming lessons or progression from them.
The RLSS UK’s Survive & Save Programme is the lifesaving awards programme for teens and young adults (12 years plus). The awards are challenging but fun to complete and are arranged into three levels of Bronze, Silver and Gold to ensure that individuals continue to develop essential lifesaving skills as they progress through the scheme.
Participants enrolled in the club will receive:
· A minimum of 45 lessons per year
· Continuous sessions during holidays
· Free aquatics membership
· Easy direct debit payment method with the cost of lessons spread throughout the year
