Scottish Water Polo Academy

The Scottish Water Polo Academy is a development programme operated at Aberdeen Sports Village in conjunction with Scottish Swimming.   The Academy invites water polo players aged 11-17years and is designed to be a stepping stone to the Scotland Junior National Water Polo Program and a handful of Aberdeen Academy players have successfully represented Scotland in 2015. In each session individual skills and team tactics will be taught and then utilized while playing games amongst the Academy players or occasionally against an outside team.  Sessions are led by experienced and qualified coaches who teach to all levels and the programme is overseen by Neal Rayner, the Scottish Water Polo Development Officer and Scotland Women’s Team Head Coach.

Club/Competent swimmers who may not have the experience of playing would start in either the Club Ready or Club Polo programmes. Entry to Academy is by invite only.
