This talk will focus on adopting a 100% positive mind set at all times, and how to develop this.

A number of mantras (oft repeated sayings) are suggested.  One in particular is a great stress reliever. “No-one will handle this better than me”

Other topics which will be discussed are “never getting discouraged” (with anecdotes as examples),”living for the moment”, “planning for aims and goals”, adopting an attitude of respect and  helpfulness, and vitally, a sense of humour!

Mel Edwards is a chartered civil engineer, a former international marathon runner with a personal best of 2 hours, 18 minutes, 24 seconds. He is a British Athletics Level 4 coach and has successfully dealt with cancer on three occasions. In 2014 he was awarded an MBE for services to athletics and charity.
